Privately Financed International Students Entrance Examination

Application Requirements

The applicant must be a citizen of a country other than Japan who meets all the following three criteria, and can understand classes conducted in Japanese.

1.The applicant must meet one of the following requirements (a)- (d):

  • (a) To have completed by March 31, 2024, twelve years of education as prescribed by the School Education Act in a country outside Japan, or has been deemed by Japan's Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to be equally qualified.
  • (b) To have received or is expected to receive an International Baccalaureate Diploma issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization, an incorporated foundation under the Swiss Civil Code, between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2024.
  • (c) To have received or is expected to receive the Abitur in a state of the Federal Republic of Germany between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2024.
  • (d) To have received or is expected to receive the Baccalaureat in the Republic of France between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2024.

2.The applicant must have a status of residence that permits him or her to be enrolled in a university in Japan in accordance with the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act.

3.The applicant must have taken the 2023 Academic Year Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) administered by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) (in either June 2023 or November 2023) for all of the following subjects that Fukui University of Technology has specified by department.

Note: Individuals with Japanese permanent residence status are not eligible to apply for admission through this selection process.
