This department cultivates personnel who can play an active role in the sports and health industry and community sports instruction.

The structure of the sports and health industry is becoming increasingly diverse and specialized, covering areas including development of sports equipment, management and operation of facilities, media, and sports instruction. Such changes have raised demands for people who not only have a sports background, but also possess multiple capabilities such as information processing skills and business knowledge, or actual skills in teaching sports. Our department cultivates human resources with a comprehensive and academic understanding of sports and health who can contribute to the development of the sports and health industry and community sports instruction from a scientific perspective.

In addition to the theory of sports and health science, this course allows students to acquire the techniques and skills needed at the actual site of instruction. We cultivate personnel who can give fitness instruction in ways that best match the needs of the subjects, from raising the competitiveness of athletes, to maintaining and improving the health of senior citizens.
