Main research themes and their characteristics

「High School Education」

　I started my career as a teacher at a technical high school after graduation from university, and I worked on subject teaching, class management and student counseling for 16 years.
　For three years after that, researching on computer programing and computer software, I was in charge of teachers' training programs at Information Studies Department of Fukui prefectural Educational Research Institute.
　Then, I had the role of being a teachers' consultant in the group of high school teachers and I was also the leader of the Student Counseling Department for 8 years at the Agency of Fukui Prefectural Board of Education..
　My task as a supervisor was to manage engineering education, information education, junior high school technical arts and home economics, high school curriculum, high school entrance exam, career guidance, international exchange(China), training for new teachers, vocational education, Fukui Prefectural Council for Vocational Education, Fukui Prefectural Promotion Association for Vocational Education.
　Especially, I worked hard to advise each technical high school on an attempt of a new subject of technical education named "Project Studies." And also, I instructed in teacher's license seminars for the new subject "Information, computer introduction, the establishment of an educational software library center and so on.
　I have worked with a belief that academic and career counseling in all high schools including career counseling in vocational high schools is the goal of high school education　 Now, the career counseling is treated as the career education, which is said to be the education for each student to think about his/her scenario for the whole life.
　As a teacher who has actively engaged in teaching, comparing the present education with the past one, I would like to impart all my knowledge, such as the history and changes of education, the introduction of new subjects or a five-day week and so on, to the next generation.
