Department of Applied Chemistry and Food Science

Concerns over global-scale environmental issues and food crisis from extreme weather make it necessary to build a society where everyone can live with a sense of security into the future. The Department of Applied Chemistry and Food Science conducts basic education on chemistry and biology, specialized education on environment and food, and cutting-edge research to contribute to a safe, secure and sustainable society. Through such learning, students gain broad knowledge about science and technology and solid application skills, and talent who can engage in solving and improving important environment and food problems are nurtured. This department thus seeks the following kinds of students.

  • AP1

    Students who have the basic scholastic ability needed for studies in this department (chemistry or biology) and have basic learning skills (understanding text and graphs, taking notes and memos, researching things themselves).

Department of Management and Information Sciences

As the issues faced by today's advanced information society are diverse and complex, it is difficult to solve them from just a single perspective. To this end, talent who can, from the tremendous amount of information flooding the Internet, discover various connections for issues from an comprehensive viewpoint and return the beneficial information and results gained to companies and society, are needed. The Department of Management and Information Sciences nurtures talent with knowledge of not only corporate management and economy, but with a wide range of knowledge on fields from global environmental issues and social service, to information and communications technology (ICT), who can use that knowledge to explore the essence of today's social problems and propose solutions. This department thus seeks the following kinds of students.

Department of Design

When considering the living environment in the 21st century, the role of design becomes increasingly important. Design is not just about creating beautiful products, but also conceives how life should be and expresses this in an effective manner. Through study of design such as "urban and local environment creation and the form of the community," "living spaces such as homes, facilities, and interiors," "design and branding of furniture, living utensils and other everyday products," and "magazines, advertising, logos, posters, Web, imagery, and other visual information media," the Department of Design nurtures designers and design specialists who create beautiful and pleasant living environments. This department thus seeks the following kinds of students.
